Enrichment
Site Supervisor
The
ideal candidate enjoys enriching the lives of children; will oversee
all activities
of the after school program at a school location; attend monthly
training sessions and weekly meetings; manage, train and oversee staff;
has the ability to work with individuals at all levels; creates and
maintains records; will teach a variety
of enrichment courses through provided curriculum and comply with all
DPSS requirements. Must provide transcripts showing completion of
minimum 12 Child Development units and 3 Child Development units in
Administration/Supervisory Relations. (See
Education
and Experience Requirements)
Additionally, the candidate must
complete a one day class, Step 2 with the DPSS.
Salary is DOE.
Hours: M, W, Th & F 2:00–5/6:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 1:00–5/6:00 p.m.
Enrichment
Teacher
The
ideal candidate enjoys enriching the lives of children; will
participate in all activities of the after school program at a San
Fernando Valley school location: attend monthly training sessions; has
the ability to assist children in grades 1-6 with homework; is
enthusiastic, creative and a team player; is punctual and has the
ability to relate well with individuals at all levels. The candidate
must have completed a minimum of 12 Child Development Units plus
additional work experience. (See

Salary is DOE.
Hours: M, W, Th & F 2:30–5/6:00 p.m. Tuesdays:
1:30–5/6:00 p.m.
Enrichment
Teacher Aide
The
ideal candidate enjoys children; will participate in all activities of
the after school program at a San Fernando Valley school location;
attend monthly training sessions and has a desire to learn from
seasoned counselors. The candidate must show proof of enrollment in a
Child Development course of at least 6 units at a junior college,
university or occupational center. (See
Education
and Experience Requirements)
The candidate is punctual,
enthusiastic, creative and a team player.
Salary is
DOE
Hours: M, W, Th & F 2:30–5/6:00 p.m. and Tuesday
1:30–5/6:00 p.m.
All
positions will begin
mid-late August 2009.

Tuberculosis Test and General Health
Clearance
- Live Scan
Fingerprint Clearance (we recommend

program in a team-teaching environment, is creative, enthusiastic,
punctual and has the ability to relate well with individuals at all
levels. The candidate must provide proof of having completed a
minimum 6 CD Units with a minimum 1 year experience in Child
Development. Curriculum is provided through required in service

Hours: Monday through Friday 8
a.m.–3 p.m.

Kindergarten

Staff Education and Experience Requirements
In
order to be
considered for hire, the following criteria’s within the
Options
listed below must be met.
Site
Supervisor
Option 1 Associate
of
Arts Degree / AA (or 60 units) which includes:
- 12 Child Development
units with core courses**
- 3 Child
Development units in Administration / Supervisory Relations
**
Core courses include child/human growth and development,
child/family/community or child and family relations, and
programs/curriculum. Course Examples: Child Growth
and
Development, Creative Experiences for Children, Child Health, Home
School, and Community Relations. Work Experience
Requirement: 2
years experience
Option 2 BA
or higher
(does not have to be in ECE/CD) with
12 units of ECE/CD, plus
3 units in Child Development Administration / Supervisory Relations, plus
3 units supervised field experience in ECE/CD setting.
Option 3 Teaching
Credential with
12 units of ECE/CD, plus
3 units in
Child Development Administration / Supervisory Relations, plus
3 units supervised field experience in ECE/CD setting.
Option 4 Earned
