Checkmates Welcome to the Chessboard! Learn the same openings and thrilling “End Game” combinations that the Masters use! Develop new strategies, play games and have FUN! Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced levels are determined by the Instructor.

Cooking Creations: Designed to give students an understanding of basic cooking techniques, methods and safety measures in the kitchen. Sharpen your 5 senses through listening, observing, smelling, touching and tasting.

Cooking Around the World: Created to provide students with an understanding of the world around us through the experience of cooking recipes from places far away. The history of the country and recipe made are shared with students while music representing the country of the day is provided for their enjoyment.

Drama/Musical Theatre Explore all the components that go into a play production leading up to the Big Show! Study the script, rehearse, create costumes, scenery and props, and learn theatrical make-up techniques.
Enrichment Classes The Enrichment Class Program is based on monthly themes that are taught through art, music science and geography. See the Enrichment Class Program for monthly curriculum descriptions.
Gardening Come and get your hands dirty! Germinate seeds, plant bulbs, chart flower growth, create and plant flower boxes and flowerbeds.
Gymnastics This class will teach fundamental tumbling and balance beam skills and provide an atmosphere that teaches discipline, fair play, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Journalism Put your reporter’s hat on as you learn to develop and create a Newsletter! Here’s an opportunity to develop skills in the areas of interviewing, gathering information, writing, graphic arts, drawing and cartooning, and layout procedures. Students will form committees, take photographs, become reporters and learn to work as team players and as individuals.

Sign Language: Enter into the silent world of those who are hearing impaired and learn skills that will enable you to communicate with them.

Spanish: This isn’t your typical Spanish class! Have fun learning about the language, various Spanish cultures, and its people, while listening to different types of Spanish music. Cook and sample Spanish foods and create art projects!

Math-Works Sessions cover a hands-on approach to the various ways in which, math plays an important role in everything connected to our everyday lives: carpentry, cooking methods, create a budget, auto mechanics, quilting, architecture and more! Gain a better understanding of adding, subtracting, multiplication, division and fractions when you become a part of this class and have fun in the process!

Drumming: Learn to play the drums in this dynamic and fun class. You will be introduced to drum notation, principals of improvisation and effective practice techniques.

Violin: Shinichi Suzuki, a violinist, believed that any child who is properly trained can develop musical ability just as all children develop their mother tongue. Special features of the Suzuki approach are listening, loving encouragement and constant repetition. An Enrichment trained and educated Suzuki Violinist applies the concepts mentioned above to ensure the potential of every child is unlimited.

The Art of Invention: This class will expose you to the great inventors and walk you through the entire process of creating your own invention! You will be asked to come up with an idea for an item or product that will influence the world around you in a positive way. You will make a blueprint, obtain a Patent Number for your invention, build a prototype, market your invention and finally sell your invention at an Invention Convention. Be the next Thomas Edison and create something positive to help others!

Sports Clinics All Sports Clinics teach basic fundamental skills and the rules of the game within an atmosphere that promotes fair play, teamwork and optimum sportsmanship. Poor weather provides the athletes with opportunities to learn about the history of the sport and achievements through various art projects. Athletes design their own formations and participate in special activities such as the Home Run Derby.

Study Hall Club Is a time likened to “library-time”, a quiet environment where students can get a head start on the homework of the day. Our staff is available to assist students with their work, check what has been completed and let parents know areas where their child may require further assistance through what is called a “Homework Alert.”
Tae Kwon Do This class emphasizes the basic techniques and movements that make up Tae Kwon Do. An emphasis is placed on promoting self-discipline, respect and personal accomplishment ultimately building self-confidence and self-esteem.
Tennis Learn the basic fundamental skills of tennis through form, serving, ball placement, volley and backhand movements and apply them in practice and competition.
Yoga Is an ideal form of exercise because it brings a closer awareness of the great creative powers of mind and body connection. Yoga brings a well being to the body and peace to the mind. It’s a wonderful way for students to learn the art of relaxation.
We must have a minimum of 10 students enrolled in a program to run the program.
